This page is totally dedicated to weapons of Halo 2. These are the ones we know of so far...
So far, no new weapons of the covenent race have been released. There have been a few for the UNSC (United Nations Space Command) marines though. This is NOT including weapons that are (as far as we can tell) attached to the being. (ie. Hunters and Brutes)

The Battle Rifle (as we like to call it) is in the H2 Trailer if you took notice. It has one sweet ass lookin scope and a very interesting barrel (the 3 prongs). From what has been read, this is a cross between the pistol and assault rifle. Slower Fire than the Assault Rifle, yet more accurate and powerful. Familiarize yourself with this. 9.5mm X 40.

The SMG (or Sub-Machine Gun) is capable of delivering an insane amount of bullets in seconds. However, the aiming capabilities on this thing will be very limited. I think the aiming reticle will be the size of the screen. I'm seeing a mini-Lag. This thing has caseless ammo too. Who knows how that will work out. I'm also seeing Xbox Live, and 10 MC's all armed with these in a straight line just spraying. (Think Revolutionary war, except lines of men with these). 5mm X 23.
