Game Update: Decimation is constantly being updated, so this section is pointless since we don't like to type a lot. We're forced to type the massive columns of irrelevant information on our sites. Really.
Be prepared to read....
Story
The story is very complex and would take up a lot of space. So, for starters, here's what our head producer has come up with:
Cutscene- Character is driving in a car to child's school, talking on a cell phone. Upon arriving to pick up child, a massive explosion erupts in one wing of the building, and shrapnel and glass fly everywhere. Character steps out of car, says "I'll call you back" on the phone, and just stares at the smoke and fire belching out of the building. <<A sort of flash back occurs, showing Character's child saying "Yes! So, if you pick me up at 2, I'll be getting out of chemistry!">> Returns to Character standing with mouth open. Kids and teachers are running screaming from the school, and in the background is the sound of fire trucks. Character runs up to the school, and goes inside to save Child. [end cutscene]
Game- Now Character is in the building and needs to find Child. There is a map in the lobby, and Character can look at it to get bearings of where chemistry room is. Within minutes, almost the whole school is evacuated, and the firemen still haven't arrived. Character can wander around school, but time is precious and shouldn't be wasted. In one of the hallways leading to chemistry room, a dark yellow gooze is oozing out of one of the doors, and all over the floor in front of it. Character can go up to door and open it. [begin cutscene]
Cutscene- Character comments on the stink, and looks into room. Everything is destroyed, and there are a few corpses lying in the corners. The gooze is more plentiful here. Towards the back of the room, in the shadows, Character sees a pair of eyes. Character attempts to turn on light, but nothing happens. The source of the eyes growls. Character steps into the room and picks up a chair, to ward off whatever the growling thing is. Then the creature roars, shaking the classroom and shattering the windows outwards. It appears to be a giant evil Winnie the Pooh. [end cutscene]
Game- Character is in the gooze room holding a chair, and evil Pooh is advancing upon them. Character is given two options: stay and throw things at the bear until they get eaten, or run out of the classroom and be chased by the bear. Or both, for the skilled player. If the second choice is made, then Pooh will chase Character around the school until exausted or is outwitted. This could be by tripping through a window or falling through a hole in the floor down to the basement, where zombies lie in wait for all who fall. If Character happens to fall to the zombies, then Character will have to fight their way out of the basement and relocate the chemistry room. Upon reaching the chemistry 'room', Character finds a massive hole in the wall of the hallway, and ashes, fire, and smoke where the chemistry room should be. By this time, firefighters and ambulances have arrived, taking care of the wounded and putting out the fires. Character happens upon the Super Bad Guy, and a brief fight occurs until the Super Bad Guy lifts up a small figure hiding behind an ash pile and flies away with it. [cutscene starts]
Cutscene- Character yells up in rage at Super Bad Guy. Camera view zooms in on the figure Super Bad Guy picks up, and it is Character's child. Character screams with even more rage, and throws a piece of wood after them. Character pushes past nurses and firemen and runs back to his car, starts it up, and zooms away from the school. [end cutscene]
Then after that, there'd be a level in which you just speed around in your car, trying to find your Child. It would be a big city level, a huge one, and this would be the time for all the different vehicles, I guess. The whole game wouldn't be centered around the rescuing, though. The Child would probably get rescued around level 3 or 4 or so. Then I don't know. Names will be made up later.
"Good Guys" (things on your side)
Well, to start off, the character you're using is on your side, hopefully. Unless he jumps out of the screen and hacks you to death, he's on your side. Character choosing isn't that difficult, and you do get a choice, unlike other games. It'll be sorta like The Sims, where you get to choose your head and outift. Basically, you're choosing whether you're white or black or in between, and whether you're a guy or a girl. (we don't want to waste all our fundage on supplying lots of outfits. once the game goes Live we'll make downloadable outfits.) Then throughout the game your character progresses and picks things up and gets stronger and such. You don't look like you did at the beginning of the game once it's over. Who knows, you could start out looking like an average Joe and end up looking like you've been through a blender.
Bad Guys
so far, this is all you'd be up against:
- giant evil Winnie the Pooh

Weapons
Of course, there will be a whole crapload of weapons that can be used by all the people you can be, but there will also be weapons that are only for certain people. Like, maybe the sniper guy will have his special gun that only he can use. I dunno. The list shall be ever-expanding...

Maps
these are in the process of being created.
maps are now being developed by T Love and Andy with AutoCAD. Pictures are coming of the city...
Decimation entails mass destruction, and in order for there to be destruction, you need things to destroy. It's hard to destroy things if there's not much to destroy, and a large city, such as a Hive city, would have an endless amount of destruction availible to the player. Now, Hive cities are massive, miles across and inhabited by billions of people. Usually they are focused around the production of a certain element, or mining of something. They center around a humongous structure in the center, called the Main Spine, which is a mile-high tower that's sorta like a gigantic stalagmite. Or stalacmite, whichever is the one that points out of the ground. We'll be adding more as we think of them, since we want it to be a big game. So here are just a few ideas of parts of the city you could fight in:
-Vapor Mill District - the department involved with filtering the air due to mass pollution. (shown below)
-Munitorium - a large section of the city filled with factories that build weapons and produce ammunition.
-Hab Blocks - public housing.
-Main Spine - the main tower, where the high and mighty live and corrupt the government from miles above the rest of the city.
-Commercia - like a huge mall, with people and stores and everything you'd love to destroy in a mall that you're not supposed to in real life.
-Chemical Plant - great for explosions, fire, and pushing people into vats of acid.
-Mining District - where stuff is mined, underground, dark, scary, you get the picture.
-Manufactories - factories, basically. picture conveyor belts and dirty working conditions and tight combat spaces where the danger of being ripped to shreds by an unwatched machine is a likely situation.
-Lower Slums - the bottom of the great spine, usually the dirtiest, and packed with the foulest and evillest creatures you can find.
-Subway - more underground combat, except sometimes there's lighting, and more people, too.
